Maranatha Village is a unique ministry built primarily for our people of the GARBC. We would like to share some information which will help acquaint you with the opportunities offered at Maranatha Village.

This is not just another housing development: it is a place in which born-again believers from our General Association of Regular Baptist Churches and other Independent Baptist Churches from across the country have come together to live, worship, and continue serving the Lord in whatever way He may direct.

Morning devotions are conducted five days a week. Our worship consists of 30 minutes of prayer, primarily for our missionaries and the sick of our "flock," and 30 minutes of Bible study by a visiting speaker or a fellow resident. Attendance is not mandatory, but you will be missing much if you do not attend. Sundays begin with Bible School at 9:00 A.M. followed by our Morning Worship Service at 10:15. Our Sunday evening service starts at 6:00 and a Wednesday service at 6:00 P.M. This is followed by choir rehearsal. These services are all well attended by our villagers, town's people and visitors. The Village is under the direction of its own officers and Corporate Board Members who are Regular Baptists, all of them living in the Village.

In keeping with our village mission, "Helping One Another 'Til Jesus Comes," we rely on volunteer help from our residents in areas in which they feel comfortable, or are willing to be trained. This is the only way we can keep operating costs down. These cost savings are passed on to residents as lower maintenance fees. Maranatha Village is for our Regular Baptist people who are not retired from serving the Lord.

At Maranatha Village there are several different ways you may get acquainted with the village. The following facilities are primarily for people interested in the village and for the relatives and guests of our current residents:

1. You can bring your trailer or motor home to our R.V. Park for over night, or for the winter. A donation of $20.00 - $22.00 per night helps us maintain this excellent facility.

2. For short stays, we have a guest house that consists of six motel type rooms with private bath and kitchenette in each room. A donation of $35.00 per night helps us maintain this fine facility.

3. Occasionally there may be a vacant furnished apartment available for your use.

We also have a fine library with many good books for those who like to read, our own shuffleboard courts, horse shoe pits, and a swimming pool with spa. Within the village property is an 18 hole golf course which is maintained by volunteers and three lakes stocked with fish. Our residents enjoy a great amount of freedom and security. There are more than two miles of private, paved roadways in the village on which our residents can walk, jog, or ride their bikes.

Pets are not permitted in our apartment area, but are permitted in the mobile home and RV sections.
